Return Policy

Returns

Only Original, New, Unused, Never Installed parts and defects will be accepted for refunds within 3 days of receipt.

Must be in clean original packaging, whole and complete as shipped to buyer.
Dirty, Greasy, Ripped, or Damaged packaging will not be accepted.
Certain special order parts may not be returned.

All new part returns are subject to a 25% restock charge. Buyer must call for Return Authorization # (RA#) or you may email Engines@vapengines.com requesting an RA#. Please include your order number, part number and reason for return.
All Returns must be Pre-paid. No Collect (C.O.D.) shipments will be accepted. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

No returns on Electrical Parts, Special Orders (not in stock), Open Packages, or Tools.

Stocked Part items must be returned within 3 days with a receipt, a 25% restocking fee will be charged.
Manufacture warranties apply.

If the return is based on a mistake that WE made, we will waive the 25% restock fee and reimburse the shipping charges.
Check that the parts are complete and in their original unmarked manufacturer part boxes (cores must be returned in the box the new part came in, No junkyard cores accepted). Put the part boxes in a shipping box – returns sent in just the manufacturer’s packaging may not be refundable if the original box and part is damaged in shipping. It is your responsibility to insure proper shipping packaging.

Please don’t paint the part, install the part or throw away the box until you’re sure the part you have is the correct part you need! Please do not write on or alter the box in any way. We cannot issue return credit for parts which have been installed, painted, modified or returned without their original packaging.

Shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our mistake. If you refuse delivery or the carrier returns a package because you provided an invalid address, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Refunds typically take about 5 business days to be issued. Providing us with a return tracking number will ensure a faster refund. Refunds will be issued in the same form as you paid, (i.e. Credit card payments will receive credit to the same card used to place the order). You will receive email confirmation when the refund has been issued.

All items damaged from improper shipping packaging will NOT be issued credit.
International and/or Air Freight Orders are non-refundable.

Engine Purchase Cancellations
ENGINE CANCELLATION/RETURNS:
If you change your mind, decide not to continue, or cancel your Engine Order Purchase for any reason, once the order has been placed and paid for, and do not want us to complete your build, you will incur a 25% shop fee for time, labor, resources, and materials.

Shipping and Handling
Valley Auto Parts and Engines ships all domestic orders via UPS, FedEx or US Postal Service. Shipping cost is determined based on weight, size, location and speed of delivery.  Engines ship by Freight Trucking Companies.

Shipping and Handling charges are billed on all orders, unless otherwise noted.
UPS adds a $1.75 fee charge for rural delivery.
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico have different shipping rates, please call to discuss your order shipping cost.
Free Shipping does NOT apply to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

International orders have different shipping rates, country fees and tariffs. We cannot ship to countries in which shipments are prohibited by the U.S. Government. If taxes or other import fees are due for a shipment, the carrier may ask you to pay them when your order is delivered.  Customs fees, Tariffs, Import duties are NOT included in the pricing.

Any and all claims for shortages must be made within 5 days of receipt of order.

Please allow 24 hours for your order to process. Orders placed by Noon (Pacific Standard Time) may ship the same business day it is placed. Orders do not ship on weekends. Customer is responsible for ensuring that UPS and the U.S. Postal Service can deliver to a specific shipping address.
NOTE: When paying via PayPal- We can ONLY ship to the address given to us from PayPal on the Completed transaction receipt from PayPal. Please make sure you input the correct Shipping Address in the PayPal system when ordering.

Delivery Times
Delivery time ranges from 1 to 7 business days, depending on your delivery area. Rural addresses, add 1 to 2 days.
International times vary.

Drop Shipping
Your order may be dropped shipped, a Manufacture handling fee may be applied. These additional fees are charged by our suppliers for shipping special order items directly to you.  Any extra charges will be noted, if any.

Remanufactured parts usually have a core charge. The core charge is a deposit that the manufacturer charges us, and which we pass on to you, to encourage the return of old parts to be remanufactured. You pay the core charge when you place your order. If you return the old part to us, we refund the core charge (see criteria below).

Your Core must be in Rebuildable condition.  No Junkyard cores accepted.

Postage must be Pre-paid. Manufactures require that cores be returned in original boxes. Cores must be rebuildable and not damaged, broken, disassembled or have missing pieces. All Returns must have an Exchange/Return Form included with the shipment, call or email for your RA#.

Cores must be complete, rebuildable, fit the same vehicle application and be returned in the box the remanufactured part came in. This means the part you send back needs to have whatever components (like pulleys) that came on the remanufactured part. The box helps identify the part and proves to the manufacturer that the core replaces one of their products. Obviously, the core won’t be working well (or you wouldn’t have replaced it) but it can’t be smashed, rusted solid, or otherwise unusable. (We rarely reject a core. If the part came off a running vehicle and just wore out–no problem. But please don’t send a part that’s been soaking in junkyard mud for 5 years and expect to receive core credit!)

Shipping charges on cores are not refundable. (Before sending back a core, you’ll need to decide if the core deposit is worth the shipping cost.) As with any return, before returning a core you must obtain a Return Authorization by telephone or via email.

To receive credit for cores, they must be returned within 30 days from the date your order was placed.

Warranty on Parts
All manufacturers warranties apply. Performance parts and parts used for racing are warranted against manufacturer’s defects only. If you are returning electrical parts for warranty consideration, please call us before you ship an item. Various manufactures require the item shipped to them directly.

Use in racing engines, emergency vehicles, or commercial vehicles voids manufacturer’s warranty.

Refunds
Refunds will be credited back to the same form of payment used to make a purchase.

Refunds from charge/credit card orders will be credited to the same card number from which the purchase was made.

Payments via Paypal will be credited to the same Paypal account.

Of course cash will be given as cash for refunds.

 

Prices
All prices are subject to change.
Price will be based on Make, Model, Year, Type and Condition.
California residents must pay Sales Tax.

Privacy
We respect our customers and their privacy. We do not sell or rent customer information to anyone. See Our Privacy Policy page.

We do participate in conversion tracking programs offered by Google, Yahoo and other search engines which use a cookie placed by the search engine to track the number of search users that place orders. The statistics produced by these programs help us decide if the cost of advertising on search engines is worthwhile. These programs apply only if you found us using a search engine and agreed to accept their cookie.

We store customer names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers in our database. We need this information so we can find your order if you ask us about it, so we can tell you when your order ships, to send you service authorizations, to send you photos you may have requested. We may use your phone number to contact you about a problem filling or delivering your order, to update you on machine services, to obtain service authorizations, trucking companies may contact you to make a delivery and set up a timeframe, and we may send you a Multi-media phone text with photo updates of your work. We may use your e-mail (or regular mail) address to let you know about special promotions, newsletters or other events. Each e-mail sent is accompanied by the option to unsubscribe from our mailing list.
