ENGINE: AS USED IN THIS ENGINE WARRANTY REFERS to the REMANUFACTURED ASSEMBLY (BASIC BLOCK, CYLINDER HEAD AND INTERNAL COMPONENTS) AS SUPPLIED by Valley Auto Parts and Engines (VAP), FROM DATE OF ORIGINAL SALES INVOICE.
LIMITATIONS: THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO PRODUCTS ORIGINALLY SUPPLIED by Valley Auto Parts and Engines aka Sun Valley Machine & Parts, Inc.

Long Blocks (Block and Head only)- 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Non-Commercial Use.
Long blocks (Block & Head only)- 6 Months for Commercial Use.
Short Blocks (engine block only)- 6 months for Commercial and Non-Commercial Use.
Cylinder Heads- 90 days.
Business/Commercial vehicles 6 month warranty on Engine Rebuilds.
NO Warranty on Performance Engines, Parts or Cylinder Heads.
NO Warranty on Marine Engines.
NO Warranty on Race, Track, or Competition use.

IMPORTANT: OIL & FILTER MUST BE CHANGED AFTER THE FIRST 500 MILES AFTER DELIVERY, then at 1000 miles, must be changed again after every 3,000 miles of service or Three months, whichever occurs first.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO THOROUGHLY CLEAN YOUR INTAKE OR EXHAUST MANIFOLDS BEFORE RE-ATTACHING TO YOUR ENGINE. FAILURE TO DO SO, IS NOT A CLAIM TOWARDS THE WARRANTY.
Debris falling into the engine from dirty manifolds is a common problem. It causes engine damage. It is your responsibility to Clean or Replace the manifolds.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY OR INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
A. DAMAGES AS A RESULT OF OVERHEATING, LACK OF LUBRICATION OR CONTAMINATION. Overheating VOIDS ALL WARRANTIES, it causes loss of oil pressure, and damages the engine.
B. DAMAGE RESULTING FROM PRE-IGNITION OR DETONATION OR FUEL WASH. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO MELTED, BROKEN OR SCORED PISTONS, BROKEN PISTON RINGS OR RING LANDS. SCORED CYLINDER WALLS. DAMAGED CYLINDER HEADS, WARPED CYLINDER HEADS, CRACK CYLINDER HEADS AND BLOWN OR LEAKING HEAD GASKETS.
C. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS A RESULT OF ACCIDENT OR MISUSE.
D. FAILURE DUE TO ANY ENGINE ACCESSORY OR SERVICE ITEM, INCLUDING SPECIFICALLY BUT NOT LIMITED TO: ALL COMPONENTS OF THE COOLING, FUEL SYSTEM, ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM, CARBURETION, ELECTRICAL AND IGNITION SYSTEMS IN ADDITION TO ALL BELTS, HOSES AND FILTERS.
E. ANY PRODUCT USED FOR COMPETITION, TRACK, RACING, HIGH PERFORMANCE OR RELATED PURPOSES.
F. APPLICATIONS RE-USING A REMOTE OIL COOLERS MUST BE REPLACED NEW OR THE WARRANTY BECOMES VOID.
G. ANY PRODUCT IN WHICH PERIODIC MAINTENANCE SERVICES REQUIRED BY THE ORIGINAL CAR MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN PERFORMED. Oil, Antifreeze, Filters, Spark plugs, or other consumable replacement items.
H. BROKEN CRANKSHAFTS OR DAMAGE TO THRUST BEARINGS.
I. FAILURE TO PROPERLY CLEAN INTAKE MANIFOLD AND ALL TIN INSTALLED BACK ONTO THE ENGINE.
J. AFTERMARKET TURBOCHARGERS, NITROUS OR SUPERCHARGERS.
K. OIL SEAL LEAKS ARE WARRANTED FOR 30 DAYS. (NO EXCEPTIONS) DEFECTIVE OIL SEALS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR INSPECTION BEFORE ANY LABOR CLAIM WILL BE CONSIDERED.
L. OIL AND WATER GALLEY PLUGS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AFTER INSTALLATION. THESE PLUGS SHOULD BE INSPECTED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
M. ENGINE WHICH HAS BEEN REPAIRED OR REMODELED BY ANY PERSON OTHER THAN A CERTIFIED MECHANIC OR TO WHICH ANY DEVICE OR ACCESSORY NOT CONFORMING TO ORIGINAL MANUFACTURES SPECIFICATIONS HAS BEEN INSTALLED
N. NO LABOR REPLACEMENT, NOT LIABLE FOR OUTSIDE LABOR OR INSTALLATION FEES, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
WARRANTY IS VOID REGARDLESS OF TIME OR MILEAGE UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
Improper Installation
Faulty cooling system, radiator, water pump, thermostat, etc.
Unit Runs Hot, Overheats
Used for other than Factory intention
Altered or performance usage
Racing, Track, or Competition Use
No warranty on Altered or Performance engines.
Damage due to installation or influence of third party work, voids all warranty.
No Towing charges paid.
Core charges apply if not rebuildable.
Teardown fee applies if work not completed.
Engines will not be re-assembled after teardown when brought in for just an Inspection.
Valley Auto Parts and Engines will not be responsible for any labor, towing, fluids, freon, filters, lodging, car or truck rental.

ADDITIONAL LIMITATION AND CUSTOMER OBLIGATION:
Installer is responsible for thoroughly cleaning all engine parts not supplied by VAP.
On startup: If necessary, adjust valves to meet original manufacturer’s specifications. Failure to perform these operations VOIDS WARRANTY.
Installer is responsible for replacing new oil pump and priming the oil pump, lifters, and gaskets or any other part or accessories which may be found defective.
IMPORTANT: OIL & FILTER MUST BE CHANGED AFTER THE FIRST 500 MILES AFTER DELIVERY, at 1000 miles, then must be changed again after every 3,000 miles of service or Three months, whichever occurs first, RECEIPTS FOR OIL/OIL FILTER CHANGE & ODOMETER READING WILL BE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF MAKING ANY CLAIM UNDER THIS WARRANTY. RECEIPTS MUST BE PRINTED AND ISSUED BY A FIRM OR COMMERCIAL OPERATION, WHICH PERFORMED THE WORK.
It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to check motor oil and coolant levels, to monitor gauges and lights and to insure proper engine operation.
ENFORCEMENT OF WARRANTY
Engine Short Block Assembly (without cylinder heads, oil pump, oil pan and valve lifters) or Longs Blocks thought to be defective must be delivered, out of car/chassis, for inspection and correction to VAP at 8212 Sunland Blvd, Sun Valley, CA
Parts or workmanship covered by this warranty and found defective will be repaired at the expense of VAP. If inspection reveals damage or failure caused by factors not covered by this warranty, there will be a Charge made for All Parts and Labor used in repairs. Including damaged engine block or head cores.
WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURES: Contact VAP, phone 818 767-6603 for Repair or Return Authorization before proceeding with any work, have the following information ready when you call; Nature of Problem, Invoice number, Company Name, Phone and Person to contact.
LIMITED LIABILITY: VAP LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED SOLELY TO THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. VAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RENTAL CARS, TOWING FEES, SHIPPING, LOSS OF INCOME, LOSS OF REVENUE, PERSONAL DAMAGES, COMMERCIAL DAMAGES, LABOR COSTS INCLUDING DIAGNOSIS, TESTING, REMOVING OR INSTALLING PRODUCTS OR ANY SERVICE NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, RELATING TO OR ARISING FROM THE VAP PRODUCT.
LIMITED LIABILITY: THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ON THE PART OF VAP OR THE DEALER INSTALLING THE PRODUCT. NO DEALER NOR ANY AGENT OR EMPLOYEE THEREOF, IS AUTHORIZED TO EXTEND OR MODIFY THIS WARRANTY. ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS PAID ARE BASED ON $35.00 PER HOUR MITCHELL FLAT RATE AND WILL ONLY BE PAID TO CERTIFIED REPAIR FACILITIES WITH A VALID EIN NUMBER. ALL OTHER WARRANTY CLAIMS SUCH AS SELF INSTALLATION OR MECHANICS WITHOUT A VALID EIN NUMBER WILL BE REIMBURSED AT THE RATE OF $20.00 PER HOUR. Under no circumstances shall the warranty claim exceed the cost of the engine.
BUYER AGREES TO: SELLER’S PRICE IS BASED UPON THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. WARRANTY OR REPLACEMENT SHALL BE UNDER THE CARE OF VAP DUE TO DEFECTS FROM WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIAL WITHIN THE PERIOD OF THIS WARRANTY. BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE OF SHIPMENT AND LIMITED TO ONLY THE CONDITIONS OF THIS WARRANTY. BUYER AND SELLER ALSO AGREE NO BENEFITS OR WARRANTIES WILL BE HONORED IF THE INVOICE OR RELATED SERVICES REMAIN OUTSTANDING INCLUDING CORE CHARGES.

INSTALLER IS RESPONSIBLE TO MATCH REPLACEMENT HEAD TO ORIGINAL HEAD AND FOR FINAL IDENTIFICATION OF REPLACEMENT CYLINDER HEAD. No returns on Electrical Parts, Special Orders (not in stock), Open Packages, or Tools. Other Stocked Parts within 3 days with a receipt, Plus a 25% restocking fee. Manufacturer warranties apply.
• Like other retailers of branded products, Valley Auto Parts & Engines does not offer any product warranty of our own–we honor the warranty provided by the manufacturer of the product. If you have a problem with a part during the warranty period, please contact us and we will arrange a return and replacement of the same part.
• The summary below does not include all the terms and limitations of each manufacturer’s warranty, and manufacturers may change their warranty terms without notice (to you or to us). For current warranty details, please contact us.
• Warranties apply only to the original purchaser of the part and the vehicle on which the part was originally installed.

All Parts carry a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty whichever occurs first. Claims for warranty must be made by the original purchaser direct from Valley Auto Parts and Engines. This warranty is limited to the replacement of a defective product only. Any alleged defective products must be returned to Valley Auto Parts and Engines for inspection for warranty to be approved. Any claim will not be settled until past due accounts are brought up to date. Valley Auto Parts and Engines will not be responsible for any labor, towing, fluids, freon, filters, lodging, car or truck rental. Any item returned to Valley Auto Parts and Engines, for credit must be sent by the original purchaser, and must be accompanied by a Valley Auto Parts and Engines, RA# (Return Authorization) number. An RA# (Return Authorization) number must be obtained by contacting Valley Auto Parts & Engines before attempting to return any new part or warranty part. When contacting Valley Auto Parts and Engines, it is important to have ready: Account number, Date of original purchase, Invoice number, and part number, an explanation of the problem, and the mileage at the time of installation and mileage at the time of failure. Returns will not be accepted, unless they are accompanied with all the information stated above. Manufacturer’s warranty implies that any claim regarding a part is subject to only the replacement of the alleged defective part. No claim will be paid on water pumps. The installer is liable and holds the responsibility of assuring that the new part matches the old part before proceeding with the installation. No part will be warranted if used in high performance applications, racing applications, and industrial applications. Valley Auto Parts and Engines always recommends that the installer inspect the condition of all related components that pertain to the job, when replacing a part, in order to avoid failure of these components, in the future. Failure to do so may result in the failure of the new part installed, and voiding the warranty. Valley Auto Parts and Engines warranty is not transferrable and is only valid to the original purchaser.
